A condensed hands-on course for general dentists covering surgical extractions, impacted teeth and complication management. Pig jaws and surgical models are provided for supervised practice, supported by focused demonstrations and case discussions.
Course details: Sunday, January 10, 2027, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Proserva Academy, 2381 Bristol Circle, Suite C200, Oakville, Ontario. Led by Dr. Daniel Fortino.
Learning objectives: Assess selected surgical extraction and wisdom-tooth cases; practise surgical access, sectioning and prepared root retrieval; apply socket preservation, wound closure and complication-response principles.
Course curriculum: Impacted wisdom teeth, surgical extractions, difficult roots, socket preservation, advanced closure and complications.
Hands-on workshop: Four supervised practical blocks covering surgical extraction and root retrieval, selected impaction simulation, socket preservation and closure, and complication-response drills.
6 AGD CE hours. Tuition: $850 USD plus applicable tax.
